The composition is an experiment, a "test" of a special contrapuntal technique developed in the "Polyphonic Concerto" - in the conditions of a different timbre filling (string orchestra). The gantus of the entire composition is the melody of one of the stichera attributed to Ivan the Terrible - "Blow the trumpet". In the finale, the theme can be duplicated by the choir in unison or in an octave.
