The composer's first turn to the genre of solo organ works. The slow presentation of the opening bars of the "Prelude" gradually gives way to more agitated intonations, energetic responses of the "arguing" voices; everything is resolved in the grandiose, solemn, optimistic sound of the organ "tutti". The second part - "Dithyramb", which appears without a break immediately after the "Prelude", justifies its programmatic name with energetic motor figuration, sharp rhythm, and perky syncopations, which even more convincingly emphasize the cheerful nature of the music. The "Postlude" in its thematic material returns us to the beginning of the "Prelude", but now the expressive recitative sounds more and more calmly and softly, ending the entire piece with a short but significant motivic response.
