"Dithyramb" in the first meaning of the word is a genre of ancient Greek choral lyrics , in the general lexical meaning - "ecstatic song (poetry, music) in an elevated style." It is in this sense that this definition is used in the Sonata. "Dithyrambicity" is expressed here in the likening of music to poetic speech with clearly maintained rhythms, periods-stanzas and caesuras-cadences. The texture of the Sonata is always laconic, often in principle two-part or even monophonic (with octave doublings). The unusual modal appearance of the composition and the exceptional integrity of its form also attract attention.
